    DCD Rights sells multiple series globally

    UK-based distributor DCD Rights has sold a slate of recent non-scripted programming to international platforms and broadcasters.

    First up is A World Without NASA, produced by Go Button Media for CuriosityStream, and which reveals how NASA has impacted our lives. It has been acquired by Prima Group – Czech Republic, Da Vinci Channel – Russia, Poland, Turkey, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa, Baltic States, Emirates Cable TV E-Vision – Middle East, Virgin Media – UK, and, RAI – for Italian speaking Europe.

    The six-part series Phantom Signals, produced by Go Button Media for Science Channel, which looks at the phenomenon of mystery signals across the universe, was picked up by Discovery – Spain & Andorra and for the A+E Networks UK channel Sky History in the UK, Gibraltar and Malta.

    Virgin, Rai imagine World Without NASA

    Virgin Media’s Ultra HD network in the UK and Italian pubcaster Rai are among the outlets to have picked up A World Without NASA, produced by Go Button Media for Curiosity Stream.

    The 2×60′ show, which explores what life would look like if the US space agency never existed, has also been acquired by Prima Group in the Czech Republic; Da Vinci Channel in Russia, Poland, Turkey, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Baltics; and Emirates Cable TV E-Vision in the Middle East.

    The deals are among a range of factual content sales secured by UK-based distributor DCD Rights. The firm has also shopped Phantom Signals (6×60’), produced by Go Button Media for Science Channel, to Discovery in Spain and Andorra and A+E Networks-owned channel Sky History in the UK, Gibraltar and Malta.

    Go Button Media digs into Phantom Signals

    Marking the Toronto prodco’s latest collaboration with Science Channel and first project with Super Channel, executive producer Daniel Oron discusses what the show signals for the company.

    Go Button Media is diving into the literal unknown with its latest show, Phantom Signals.

    The 6 x 60 minute science series executive produced by the Toronto-based production company’s leads Daniel Oron and Natasha Ryan sees experts investigate various mysterious phenomena – exploring what these unidentified signals could mean. Cases touch on claims of a floating city in the clouds and a missing cosmonaut’s last mysterious radio call for help, while professionals featured include former astronaut Dave Williams; geophysicist Mika McKinnon; volcanologist Jess Phoenix; geophysicist Sian Procter; historian Arne Kislenko; engineering expert Robert Sparling; radio expert Josh Nass; and York University professor Mazyar Fallah. It is set to premiere on Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Science Channel.

    Composed of reenactments, CGI, archival footage and expert interviews, Phantom Signals marks Go Button Media’s second project with Science Channel and its first with Super Channel.
