    This week on the Season 2 finale of Mom vs Matchmaker, Carmelia and the mother of a young opera singer look to find the perfect man to hit all the right notes!

    This Tuesday, Mom vs Matchmaker‘s exciting second season comes to a close with an episode that tasks our Cupids with finding a date for Alex, an opera singer on the search for the perfect man but her matchmakers are each on the quest for two very different kind of suitors! For Alex’s piano teaching mother, Charlene, the perfect man for her daughter is someone who is handy and knows his way around his tools and chopsticks. Meanwhile, Carmelia is on the hunt for a tall and charming pick with a bit of scruff who can hit the right notes and sweep Alex off her feet.

    Myx TV, a network targeting Asian-American viewers, has renewed Mom vs. Matchmaker for a second season, set to premiere March 14

    Mom vs. Matchmaker is a series focused on finding the perfect match for millennials. Matchmaking professional Carmelia Ray challenges the mothers of the contestants in finding a suitable date for their kid. Each will set up a date in the hopes that their pick will be chosen. The singles find out at the end of the episode who prepared which date.

    On the season two premiere, music producer Justin is ready for love. He prefers a creative, big-eyed girl with a “booty.” His mother claims he wants someone who resembles her. In the episode, his mom tries to find a nice girl who loves cooking, while Ray also looks for his perfect match.

    Go Button Media’s Mom vs Matchmaker headed to MyxTV

    Post-production is underway on Toronto-based Go Button Media’s first commissioned project, Mom Vs. Matchmaker, an unscripted series backed by a dating service brand partner the producers hope will be ripe for co-viewing.

    The first season of the series includes six, half-hour episodes that will bow on U.S. channel Myx TV on May 3. Mom Vs. Matchmaker has also been picked up by Toronto-based Stornoway Communications, which operates digital specialty networks ichannel and The Pet Network, although an air date for the series in Canada has not yet been set. Myx TV, an Asian-American entertainment-focused channel carried by Comcast, Time Warner and DIRECTTV, is the commissioning broadcaster on the series. The series is executive produced by Go Button Media’s Daniel Oron, Natasha Ryan and Miguel Santos, general manager of Myx TV.
