    Go Button commissions series at Super Channel, partners with Cineflix Rights

    Toronto-based Go Button Media has announced that Super Channel in Canada has commissioned its new historical docuseries, Secret Nazi Expeditions, with Cineflix Rights on board as its international distribution partner with a focus on pre-sales.

    The 6 x 60-minute series focuses on the work of an elite team of Nazi scientists who searched the far reaches of the globe for ancient artifacts alleged to possess mystical powers in the name of Hitler’s regime.

    “Super Channel has been an incredibly supportive broadcaster to our business this year, so we couldn’t be more pleased to move into production with them on this second history series,” Daniel Oron, Go Button Media’s co-founder and series executive producer, said in a release. “We are also thrilled to be working with Cineflix Rights for the first time. The team was extremely enthusiastic about this new series from the first conversation and, given Cineflix’s impressive track record and extensive international network, I have every confidence that Secret Nazi Expeditions will soon find a raft of excellent homes across the world.”

    Secret Nazi Expeditions is set to begin production soon. It’s Go Button’s second Super Channel Fuse Original commission this year, following the World War Two series Forgotten Frontlines (6 x 60 minutes), co-commissioned by SBS Australia and Off The Fence.

    UK-based distributor DCD Rights has sold a slate of recent non-scripted programming to international platforms and broadcasters.

    First up is A World Without NASA, produced by Go Button Media for CuriosityStream, and which reveals how NASA has impacted our lives. It has been acquired by Prima Group – Czech Republic, Da Vinci Channel – Russia, Poland, Turkey, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa, Baltic States, Emirates Cable TV E-Vision – Middle East, Virgin Media – UK, and, RAI – for Italian speaking Europe.

    The six-part series Phantom Signals, produced by Go Button Media for Science Channel, which looks at the phenomenon of mystery signals across the universe, was picked up by Discovery – Spain & Andorra and for the A+E Networks UK channel Sky History in the UK, Gibraltar and Malta.

    Virgin Media’s Ultra HD network in the UK and Italian pubcaster Rai are among the outlets to have picked up A World Without NASA, produced by Go Button Media for Curiosity Stream.

    The 2×60′ show, which explores what life would look like if the US space agency never existed, has also been acquired by Prima Group in the Czech Republic; Da Vinci Channel in Russia, Poland, Turkey, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Baltics; and Emirates Cable TV E-Vision in the Middle East.

    The deals are among a range of factual content sales secured by UK-based distributor DCD Rights. The firm has also shopped Phantom Signals (6×60’), produced by Go Button Media for Science Channel, to Discovery in Spain and Andorra and A+E Networks-owned channel Sky History in the UK, Gibraltar and Malta.
