As it enters its second decade, Canadian independent producer Go Button Media is preparing for an ambitious 2026 marked by expanded production, deeper integration of emerging technologies and the development of new revenue streams. The company is set to deliver more than 80 hours of already greenlit factual programming this year, while further incorporating AI to enhance creativity and productivity. To support this next phase of growth and diversification, the company has promoted two senior team members.

Pierre-Oliver Barbier, who joined Go Button in 2022, has been promoted to Senior Director of Business Affairs & Strategy. In his expanded role, he will lead strategic initiatives across production and operations, oversee legal and tax credit policies for productions, and take a leadership position in the integration of emerging technologies, including AI. His responsibilities also include monitoring industry trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation and compliance within a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Ella Gershon, who joined Go Button Media in 2023 with experience across a wide range of industry sectors, has been promoted to Vice President of Accounting. The promotion reflects her significant contributions to streamlining the company’s accounting and financial operations, as well as her broader operational excellence and strategic financial leadership.

Daniel Oron, co-founder and executive producer at Go Button Media, commented: “Year over year, we have strived to increase and improve our creative output to match the company’s rise in commissions and production partnerships. That growth would not be possible without the experience, solid backing and durable foundation generated by the financial and business expertise that Pierre-Oliver and Ella bring to the company. With their exceptional strategic thinking, forward planning and overall business guidance, both have played a significant part in growing Go Button, while keeping the business nimble, profitable and seen as a favorable producer for a wide range of international broadcasters and distributors seeking premium factual content and value for their partnerships.”

He added: “We are delighted for them both and look forward to Pierre and Ella extending and enhancing their roles as we work together to orchestrate Go Button Media’s future – which includes some exciting announcements ahead this year.”
