“Call Me Mother” drag competition series to air on OUTtv
Canadian LGBTQ+ network OUTtv will debut a new drag competition series beginning this fall.
The unscripted reality series, titled Call Me Mother, is produced by Go Button Media and RedFlame TV. Dallas Dixon, from Entertainment Tonight Canada, will host the series that features drag mothers Peppermint, Crystal and Barbada as they adopt and mentor new talent into their Drag Houses. The series will last eight weeks, as contestants vie for the title of “First Child of Drag” and a grand prize package valued at CA$50,000.
Each week, the three houses will compete in challenges against one another, with the leader of the losing house eliminating one of their contestants.
A full list of contestants will be released later this year. The series will debut on OUTtv and OUTtvGo this fall.
